DCB 0129

DCB 0129, Clinical Risk Management: its Application in the Manufacture of Health IT Systems - A mandatory UK safety standard describing a set of assurance activities for manufacturers of health IT systems to manage clinical risk. The current version of the standard was issued by HSCIC (now NHS Digital) in 2013 and is enforced by NHS England.

In 2014 the Secretary of State for Health confirmed in a Commons Debate that the DCB 0129 and DCB 0160 standard are the mandatory means by which clinical safety requirements are addressed in health IT in England.

Note that the standard was formerly called ISB 0129 and SCCI 0129.
